"Lucy, Practice!"

$0.00

This painting has been inspired by my sister Lucy! When Lucy and I were growing up, and being the two youngest girls in a family of ten, many times we were paired together. This would include sewing lessons, summer camp, just to name a few, but particularly piano lessons! Lucy would cheerfully go to her piano lesson, which typically followed mine, but when it came time to practice she simply refused! My mother would place a timer on the piano set for half an hour in hopes that Lucy would touch the keys and begin to play. That did not happen! Instead Lucy waited until the timer ran out and gleefully jumped off the piano seat ready to seek other adventures. Lucy’s favorite color is green and the wild hair indicates her imagination and the myriad of thoughts running through her head as she sat waiting for the timer to end!

Lucy’s favorite color is green and her wild hair indicates the many thoughts she might have had sitting and waiting for the timer to end! This piece has been beautifully framed by University Art in Sacramento. The glass created a bit of a reflection when taking the photo, however it is very lovely in person. I highly recommend framing from this store.
